Brock Lesnar Returning to the Octagon

This is a big day for MMA fans! Brock Lesnar announced today he is finally healthy and hitting the gym! He is slowly regaining his fitness and is expected back in the octagon over the summer. Brock is expected to face the winner of the UFC 111 interim title match (Shane Carwin vs Frank Mir). Or, if the winner of that bout can not recover and make it back to the octagon in time, the winner of the UFC 110 match will instead face Lesnar over the summer. The match in UFC 110 that will decide a possible match for Lesnar would be the main event, Nogueira vs. Velasquez. I can't wait to see the heavyweight champ return to the octagon, and I'm even more excited over the next few events coming up. UFC 111 should be the best card of the year so far! Also a bill was introduced in New York yesterday to push the legalization of MMA in NY (if you didn't already know, MMA is banned in Massachusetts and New York). Also in the MMA world news, but not as exciting as the champ returning to the octagon, GetFungu signed an agreement this week with TapouT mixed martial arts gear and mixed martial arts clothing company to enhance the shopping experience of mobile users especially those using iPhone, Blackberry, and Android phones. That means an easier shopping experience for those looking for mixed martial arts t shirts and mixed martial arts apparel! Keep checking back into this blog for more mma news, videos, and pictures!

UFC 106 Ortiz Griffin 2 Video

Two of my favorite UFC fighters go at it for the second time in Las Vegas. I was in attendance for this fight and it was GREAT! The fight went all 3 rounds and was action packed! Forrest Griffin always pushes the pace and never tires out and always has very entertaining fights, and this one was no different! (my favorite part was Griffin's front kick to Tito's head knocking out his mouthpiece)

Video of one of the most surprising knockouts ever-Scott Smith vs Pete Sell

This fight was during the Ultimate Fighter Season 4 finale and is one of the best knockouts I have ever seen. Watch this video! Scott gets hit with a left hook to the body and leaves him badly injured but Scott is still able to make a very entertaining comeback!

UFC 108 fight video-Rashad Evans vs Thiago Silva

This was a great fight that went all 3 rounds and if you missed it on January 2nd, make sure you watch this video! Great display of wrestling on Rashad's part, great takedowns and most of them were successful. Very entertaining fights, especially if you are a fan of wrestling. Evans dominated the first 2 rounds, but Silva came back in the third round and had an opportunity to end the fight with a win, but Rashad recovered. This fight was described by Rashad as a "race back to Machida." It's no surprise that Machida already will re-match Maricio Rua in May, but if Machida retains his title and belt, maybe we will see a re-match and another title defense between Rashad and Machida! Enjoy the fight!
